Extrabucks is a platform that claims to be rewarding users on a daily basis for completing simple “surveys” and also, for referring others. According to the information on their page, users get to earn from not just completing the so-called surveys but also, when they participate in the referral program/tasks. However, upon closer examination, I discovered that, extrabuck.xyz may not be a legit earning website.
It is quite confusing for one to say the site is not legit judging from how organized everything is and the fact that, users can readily earn money daily by just clicking on a few buttons but the truth is, most of these sites promise one thing and do the other and when it comes to busting fake or spam earning sites or platforms, there are certain factors that are considered and in this article, we will be having a look at some of these things in order for you to better understand what the platform is about and why I feel it’s not legit.
About Extrabucks
As the name implies, it’s an earning platform where users get to earn extra” money by completing tasks — referring included. As a user, upon creating an account, you are logged into the main dashboard with a welcome bonus of $2 and the option to potentially increase your earnings with the referral link available on the dashboard and the task page, where you can find some things to click on to earn extra income.
The whole idea of extrabuck.xyz is, fetching interested users extra money when they complete these “tasks” and from the body language of people on social media, it’s gotten really popular, with most new users promoting and talking about the platform.
Earning Methods
There are two main ways to earn on Extrabucks and they are as follows;
1. Completing Daily Tasks :- on a daily basis, the administrators update the tasks page for users to click in order to earn some money. Upon sign up and login to your account, you will be given access to the tasks and to access them, click on Daily Tasks at the top right corner as shown in the screenshot above.
When you click on it, you will be shown two options,
- Invitation Task
- Perform survey
Clicking on the invitation task, means you have a large audience to promote your link to in order to earn the reward for the day. I believe the reason why most people are talking about the platform on social media is due to the invitation task and the reward attached to doing so. You can earn $3 for participating in the invitation task.
On the other hand, the perform survey option takes you to a wide array of tasks to complete in order to earn up to $4 per day i.e. if you click on all the tasks. From the writeup, they claim it’s for completing surveys, but when I clicked on some of the tasks, I was just taken to an advertisement page. There is no survey to fill — that makes it easier for one to understand the category extrabuck.xyz falls under; a PTC website.
2. Referral Program :- apart from the invitation task in the daily tasks section, they have a standard referral program where users who promote can earn up to $0.5 per referral. Meaning if you are able to refer 100 users, you earn $50 that can be withdrawn when it’s time for withdrawal and if it’s up to the threshold.
The referral link is on the dashboard, just scroll down a little to understand the earning structure of the platform including your referral link. Copy and promote to friends and family and for each user who creates an account using your referral link, you get credited with the aforementioned amount.
Withdrawal Process
Extrabucks withdrawal process seems flexible on the surface i.e. if you have not signed up. At first, I saw Ethereum, PayPal and bank account, I felt good about the platform but upon sign up, I found out there’s much more to the withdrawal than meets the eye.
In order to withdraw, you need to have earned up $70 in your balance on the site and also, you must wait for the payment date. At the moment the fixed date is August, 5th. As a user therefore, even if you are able to reach the withdrawal threshold, you must wait for this date to request for payment.
This withdrawal process is controversial and I will explain why in this article.
Is extrabuck.xyz Legit?
The Truth is, extrabuck.xyz is not Legit. It’s basically a spam website created for the sake of generating advert revenue and the administrator or individual behind the platform intentionally created it for that purpose — just to enrich himself by preying on the desperation and gullibility of others.
Like I said earlier, there are certain factors that are considered while analysing the legitimacy of earning platform and the truth is, Extrabucks falls short in every way thus the reason why I consider it a scam or outright waste of time. If you so care about the reason for this claim, then consider checking them out below;
1. High Withdrawal Threshold :-
Users can only withdraw when they have earned up to $70 and this on its own is not a very big problem, however, the issue is that, judging from the earning capacity of users on the site, the chances of reaching this amount is very slim and even if you are able to, it would take a very long time.
Free-to-earn platforms that are truly legit don’t fix such a high withdrawal threshold. But for spam sites like extrabuck.xyz, their main aim for having such a high withdrawal amount is just to stall users from being able to place withdrawal therefore, buying them more time to earn from the ads being viewed by users.
They know that users will eventually find out that they are not legit and it would be pretty fast if users withdraw and don’t get paid, thus the reason why they intentionally made reaching withdrawal threshold, difficult.
2. Fixed Payment Date :-
They claim users can withdraw on the 5th of August — another time buying move. Fixed payment date is never a good sign because, most fraudulent administrators that have no plans of paying any user intentionally use it to buy more time for themselves, while they generate ad revenue from the traffic of users.
So steer clear of Extrabucks and it’s fake fixed payment. The chances of being paid is nil.
3. No way to reach customer support :-
This is yet another very serious Red flag that should be taken note of. Sites like, Extrabucks intentionally launch without a customer support because they know users will come running to them when they don’t get paid.
No real earning platform can operate without a customer support. They have a WhatsApp channel but the issue with it is, ordinary members can not message administrators. So it doesn’t change anything.
Final Verdict
Extrabucks aka extrabuck.xyz is not a legit earning platform. There is nothing positive about the platform and from all we’ve discussed in this article, you should have come to terms with the reality that the platform is not worth the time you want to waste on it. So for your own good, channel that energy into more productive ventures or better still find other legit earning platforms.
