Buzzer App is a social messaging platform that claims to be paying users real money on a daily basis for posting about sports entertainment. Therefore, users who are interested in earning some money from the platform are expected to engage, post sports related contents and when the videos go viral, they get paid a certain amount of money and also, get paid for referring others to join the buzzer App.
The idea of paying users money for sharing contents isn’t new and it is not really strange since we’ve seen it play out on many other platforms such as Threndx and even, Facebook and Tiktok. The issue however is, most newer social messaging platforms often struggle with payments since they are yet to gain enough attention and userbase like, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and X.
Therefore, promise of payment from any newly launched social media platform is often viewed with skepticism and same applies to Buzzer. So in this article, we will have a look at the important aspects you should know about the platform, such as the earning methods, the withdrawal process and finally, an evaluation of the pros and cons for you to have a better understanding of what you are about getting into.
About Buzzer App
Buzzer is a sports based social media platform where users get paid for sharing viral sports related contents and referring others. As a user, you are expected to create an account and start sharing some posts related to football or any other sports you are interested in and if you are lucky to get viral video upload, you get paid per number of views it gets.
The earnings are credited to users in form of points and when you reach the threshold, you can request for payment and get paid either through PayPal or cryptocurrency judging from the information provided on their about page on Playstore. From what I’ve stated so far, it’s clear the earning goes beyond just posting, you also earn by referring others users and I believe we all know what referring means.
When you bring others or lure others to download the Buzzer App and create an account using your referral code, such a person is regarded your referral and you earn the bonus from such a user.
Earning Methods
There are two main earning methods at the moment and they are as follows;
1. Creating Viral Contents
As a sports based social media platform, users who share sports related short video clips and they go viral, get paid $0.10 per 1,000 views on such videos. So if you get any video of any football activity or football related video and share on buzzer and luckily for you, it goes significantly viral, you earn from doing so. The points will be instantly added to your balance on the app.
Unlike other social messaging apps that require users to reach a certain level of followers or engagement to monetize, on buzzer, everyone is literally monetized from the start i.e. upon creating an account — all you have to do afterwards is start creating contents or sharing sports related video clips on your phone gallery if you are someone who is very much interested in sports.
2. Referral Program
Buzzer App has a referral program and users who refer others to the app get credited with $0.15 bonus points when the user successfully creates an account using your code. So the referral program is one very fast way to boost your income on the app because almost everyone will buy the idea of just posting short video clips and earning money, so getting referrals will be much easier and even more interestingly, it happens to be rewarding as well.
To get your referral link after creating an account, simply click on your profile icon and then tap on Earn, you will be shown some options to choose from, simply select referral and copy your referral code or you can directly share it to friends on social media.
Prior to writing this article, the referral program was more rewarding than this, it was initially $0.30 per referral but it has been slashed to $0.15. There is also a chance that, it may be further reduced as time goes on. So if you have plans to start referring others, it’s best to start after reading this article.
3. Spending Time On The App
They have another reward scheme in place for users to spend at least 5 minutes on the app right after installing it. I spent 5 minutes and was rewarded with 100 points. So spending time on the app gives you some reward that gets credited to your balance instantly. However, it seems the reward is only available after the first time of using the app, so don’t expect to get more of it subsequently.
How to Get Started
To create an account, the first step is to download Buzzer App from either Playstore or App store.
After downloading create an account using you real details and then select your preferences, such as the sports you are most interested in. The reason for this is, the system will display such posts for you after sign up.
Like I said earlier, all new users are automatically creators and as such, can start earning money directly from the system by creating contents related to sports or sharing short videos. So you can start right away to share sports related video clips on your device and hope that the video goes viral.
If the video or post goes viral, you earn $0.10 for every 1,000 views it gets. The earning is not limited to videos, you earn from photos too as long as the views reach the required number.
How to Start Posting on Buzzer
Launch the application, while on the homepage, click on the Plus icon at the center as shown in the screenshot below, then on the next page, grant the app access to use your camera.
After granting it access, you will be able to record videos or snap photos directly or select from what you already have in your gallery.

You can share stories, posts, images and videos on buzzer as long as they are in line with any sporting activity you are interested in.
Select a photo from your gallery and share to the platform and then, hope it gets distributed to the users for you to earn some money based on the earnings structure previously mentioned;
- $0.10 for 1k views, so 10k views is will give you $1.
- $0.15 per referral invited to the platform
Withdrawal Process
The minimum withdrawal is $10, so you must wait till you’ve earned up to this amount to request for payment.
The withdrawal steps is quite stressful and actually where the doubt regarding its legitimacy comes in. When you reach the threshold, you are expected to send a message to the official Buzzer account on the platform, requesting for a payout.
There is no withdrawal button anywhere, you are to message the administrator directly on the app and make the payment request with your crypto address and the amount you wish to withdraw. They claim users have to wait for 48 hours in order for payment to get credited.
Is Buzzer App Legit Or Scam?
Buzzer App may not be legit. There are many reasons to doubt the legitimacy of the platform and the withdrawal process fully confirms the fact that it is most likely a waste of time. How can a platform that claims to have plans to grow and garner alot of users not have a standard means of withdrawal?
How many users will they be able to pay manually through the very unprofessional method they are using currently? At first, I thought it was legit and even felt good about it until I learnt about their withdrawal process and also checked to see if I’d find any confirmed payment method from any other user all to no avail.
The two main reasons why I wouldn’t be advising anyone to participate are;
- The bad withdrawal process or steps
- The lack of payment proofs or evidence on social media or anywhere even after they’ve been in operation for months.
How is it possible that Buzzer has been around for up to 4 months yet there’s no payment proof anywhere on social media? That’s a clear indication of scam you should not overlook.
Another key indication that it could be a scam or a waste of time is the delay in processing withdrawal. If you check their reviews on Playstore and even on the app, you will notice that there are a lot of complaints from users who have placed withdrawal for days but haven’t been paid even after messaging the administrator privately and many others who haven’t been responded to.
Finally, most of the reviews they have on Playstore are paid for. They bought 5 star reviews and ratings. A common trick by app developers to make intending users have confidence in their platform.
Therefore, it’s clear that Buzzer App is most likely not LEGIT, so don’t be swayed by writeups you see on social media or promotional contents you see others sharing.
Pros
In summary, there are just a few upsides or things about buzzer that could be considered as positive;
- Fast loading speed of app. Many platforms that claim to be paying users for sharing contents often have poor loading speed due to server overload but that isn’t the case on Buzzer.
- Enticing referral program though it all boils down to them actually paying and not wasting users’ time.
Cons
There are so many downsides or negative things about the platform at the time of writing this article;
- Poor withdrawal process – users have to private message their official account to get paid which makes the processing very slow and uncertain.
- High withdrawal threshold pegged at $10. It will take a long while for users to reach the threshold unless they refer.
- Limited withdrawal methods available (PayPal & Crypto)
Conclusion
Buzzer App is just another Facebook and Instagram Wannabe that is yet to properly design a system for monetization. It’s one thing to promise to pay users for sharing contents and it’s another thing to have a payment system well designed for it. The app may actually pay later on, but from what I’ve seen, it’s a no-no for anyone who cares about his or her time.
Thanks.
