Fusion App is a social messaging platform that claims to be paying users money when they create contents on a daily basis. As a matter of fact, that is one of their selling points — post and get paid; most advertorials and publications about the platform have also centered around this particular method of payment. However in reality, it’s not exactly as they claim it is. Reason is, you get paid for creating posts only when the consumers of the contents or post being shared find it interesting enough to gift you.
What this means is that, you don’t get paid directly by Fusion for creating contents or sharing posts on a daily basis, the users have the option to reward you from the available balance in their wallets if they find your posts interesting or entertaining enough to do so. Alot of things about fusion are not as they seem and we will be breaking the full details down in this review for you to better understand what the platform is about, the earning methods or structure and finally, the pros and cons. So without wasting more time, let’s dive right into the topic of the day.
About Fusion
Fusion is a social medium where users get the opportunity to earn money when they consistently post entertaining or interesting contents. Unlike what is obtainable on the popular and widespread social messaging platforms, the consumers of your content are given the chance to gift you with some money directly to your in-app wallet.
Fusion seems to be a Nigerian owned social messaging platform due to the domain name extension and the fact that, it’s getting increasingly popular amongst the Nigerian audience. It’s been around for a while now and if you are someone who’s very active on social media, then there is a huge chance you must have come across some publications on the platform and how it’s the best paying app at the moment.
There is no level of hyping people haven’t done for fusion and that’s part of the reasons why I decided to join and make further investigations because I have this bias towards platforms that are being massively promoted by users.
Breakdown of Earning Methods
There are only two main ways of earning on fusion as against what many claim on social media pages and they are as follows;
1. Referrals – this is the most important part and it’s the reason why you see users promoting and speaking good of the application everywhere on social media. They are doing so all in the bid to secure some referrals in order to get paid the stated bonuses. According to my findings, referring earns you 400 naira immediately the user creates an account and verifies his or her identity using NIN or BVN and then creates a wallet.
Therefore for each referral you get, they credit you with 400 naira, meaning if you are able to refer 10 users, you get 4,000 naira. This is in direct contrast to what I was made to believe by some individuals on social media — who claimed one can earn up to 2,000 naira for each referral. It’s for this reason that I encourage my readers not to be swayed by what they see people sharing on social media.
It’s best to only join a platform after you’ve done due diligence and made your research otherwise you will be amazed at how much distortion people do in the bid to get what they want.
2. Rewards From Users – like I stated earlier, you don’t get paid by Fusion directly when you make posts and contents, it’s the users that reward you for entertaining them. If you are a Nigerian, you will agree with me when I say that, this is a very unrealistic earning method as most users have not even earned enough to think about gifting creators. Therefore, it sounds nice on paper but highly unrealistic.
This leaves us with the referral earning method and the people massively promoting the platform understand that, the only main way to earn money on fusion is by referring others — reason why they keep speaking well of it to lure in more potential users via their own links.
Getting Started
In order to have a seamless registration process, endeavour to have a snapped image of your NIN slip and make sure you are in a well lit area because, a selfie is needed to confirm wallet creation.
If you have all these, then hop into fusion.ng/refer/ericksson and proceed to Sign up, you will be asked for basic details at first, then the next page will give you the chance to create a password, which will be used to access your account each time.
You will be prompted to download the Mobile app from either Play store or Apple store and then login to your newly created account.
Once logged in to your dashboard, click on Wallet and complete the KYC verification using your NIN preferably. Don’t enter your BVN in an application like fusion because, no one knows how they operate.
After submitting your details, wait for verification. Until you’re verified, you won’t be able to get paid by them even when you refer others.
Done with all these, you can then start joining communities and also posting whatever pleases you in these communities. It’s advisable to be active because, the higher your activity rate, the more likely it is for the “users to reward you”.
How to Get Your Fusion Referral Link
If you want to start referring others, click on your profile icon at the top right corner and then copy the link showing on your profile as shown in the screenshot above.
Share the link to friends and family and when anyone creates an account, activates his or her wallet, you get 400 naira. The more referrals, the more money you earn.
Withdrawal Steps
Fusion’s pay day is Friday. So every Friday, they credit users with the referral bonuses earned — earnings are credited to the users activated wallet, from there you can use the money to purchase airtime/data or simply withdraw to your local bank account.
Is Fusion App Legit Or Scam?
Fusion may be legit. It’s been around for a while now but I’m tempted to say it’s not legit. Reason is, there are lots of things people are keeping from others all in the bid to get referrals; additionally, there are some flaws that are worthy of mention and they are as follows;
1. Slow Loading Speed – the website and mobile app doesn’t load as fast and smoothly as it should. During the sign up process, it was quite seamless until after registration, the app delayed me significantly. If you’re an impatient person, then it’s best to not even give fusion a try. Reason is, the mobile app loads quite slowly and this could be very annoying for users. It’s as if their server is overloaded.
2. NIN validation takes a long time – this is another major downside or flaw. Every users NIN has to be validated before a wallet can be created but fusion takes time to verify the NIN. Sometimes it takes a week or more and to me, that’s a big downside, given that many other KYC verification platforms take a few minutes to validate identity.
This is another area, fusion team has to work on significantly as an improvement is needed to make the onboarding process very easy for new users.
3. Referral Based – fusion is referral based contrary to what some people may try to sell to you. Fusion directly rewards users who refer others with 400 naira for each referral. Whereas the post to earn part is based on the generosity of the users and consumers of contents. So if you don’t have the means to refer others, it’s best to steer clear and not fall for the antics of the referral hunters.
4. Payment is not guaranteed – last Friday payment wasn’t made. What this means is, you should also prepare your mind for sudden disappointments. It’s always advisable for people not to make their financial plans with money that hasn’t arrived to avoid being in a tough situation.
Pros
Here is a summary of the pros or better upsides of joining fusion app;
- Free-to-earn
- Customer support
- Reasonable referral rewards
- Smooth sign up process
Cons
On the other hand, here are some of the downsides of joining;
- Referral based – without referrals, you may not be able to earn a dime.
- Slow loading mobile app
- NIN validation takes longer than it should
Conclusion
Fusion App is a social messaging platform where users get paid by referring and also, when they get gifted by users for posting interesting contents often. Based on analysis, you can only get paid by referring others as that is the most feasible means of earning. Most of the publicly accessible information about the app are distorted by people looking for referrals so desperately.
