Mercadotube.site is a website that claims to be paying users money when they complete tasks and also when they refer other users to either click on their links or create an account. The reward structure is very enticing and because of that, I decided to conduct deep analysis of whether it’s legit or scam and based on my findings, the legitimacy is in doubt.
Mercadotube.site is otherwise known as MomoTube and based on what I found out after creating an account and scrolling through the various tabs and exploring what they offer, it’s same as jiotube.site, momowatch.site etc. The same person that or individuals keep launching new websites claiming to pay out huge amount of money just to lure in users, use them to generate ad revenue and then rinse and repeat.
In this article, we will be having a look at the so called earning methods of mercadotube.site and why it’s very unrealistic and most likely scam. So if you were contemplating joining the platform due to the amazing referral rewards and the earning structure, this article will serve as a source of enlightenment.
About MoMotube
Like I said the platform is known as MomoTube, they failed to change the name but the domain name was changed. As the name implies, it’s clearly a site that pays users for watching short clips on a daily basis and also for completing simple tasks.
On the site, you will find three main sections, Videos, Refer and Tasks. They are key to participation and as such, you need to understand what each of them have to do with you, as a user.
1. Videos – this is a tab where you will find some video clips you are supposed to watch in order to earn money. Each video comes with its own fixed earnings — meaning, once you are done watching the video, you get credited with the stated amount of money. This is a huge part of earning on the platform because, the earnings are quite impressive.
2. Refer – this is another interesting section. According to the information on the platform, you earn 300 naira per click on your referral link whether or not the click converts to user registration. So once someone clicks on your link, you get credited with the amount and when the person registers fully, you get 1,500 naira. The referral rewards are enticing and that’s one of the reasons you keep seeing the link on social media platforms and pages.
3. Tasks – recall that I mentioned that, users also earn on mercadotube.site by completing simple tasks. There are some tasks available on the site and when you complete them, you earn fixed amount of money as well.
Unrealistic Claims
One way to identify a scam platform or a free-to-earn platform that has no intention to pay anyone is to check out the earning methods, the claims of payment etc. In the case of mercadotube, there are lots of claims that are very unrealistic in all honesty and we will be examining some of them together;
1. 1,500 naira referral bonus – it is not impossible for a platform to pay users 1,500 naira per referral but it’s usually fake, when a site claims to be paying users this amount of money for nothing; especially when it’s a free-to-earn platform. The reason is, money being paid out has to be generated by users somehow but in the case of MoMotube, users are not asked to pay money in any way, so where is the money coming from?
Unrealistic payout structure is a common trick deployed by administrators of scam platforms to make users believe they are going to earn a lot of money, therefore keeping them engaged for long.
2. The earning rate for completion of tasks and video streaming; the amounts they claim users will be able to earn for completing tasks and watching videos are too high to be real. There is a very popular adage that if something is too good to be true, there is a chance it’s not even true.
For a free earning platform to have such high amounts fixed on simple tasks is a very clear sign that they could be scam. Most real earning platforms have a much lower earning structure but in the case of mercadotube.site, it’s entirely different.
Funny enough, it’s done intentionally to keep users engaged. They are simply preying on the greed of a typical human being. They know a lot of users will remain active, completing the tasks, watching the annoying videos with hopes of withdrawing huge money. Unfortunately, it’s an unfair transaction, because the users don’t earn a dime after much work whereas the administrators keep earning from the ads users view and the tasks.
3. The Leaderboard – if you check the Leaderboard, you will be amazed. There are some users with 27 million and above. Just calm down and imagine how possible or real it is… How can a free earning platform pay out 27 million naira to one user? Worst is, there are many other users on the leaderboard with very huge earnings.
All these are tricks to lure in more users and keep the existing users. No free platform can pay out such amounts.
Why mercadotube.site is A Scam
Even without being told, a discerning mind must have come to terms with the reality that, mercadotube is a scam. Users are not asked to pay a dime but it’s still a scam — in the sense that, users are subjected to much stress and processes only not to be paid at the end and that’s another level of scam.
Alot of people invest time and data, promoting the platform on social media to friends only to be ghosted when it’s time for payment. One of the key reasons why MoMotube is scam is the unrealistic earning structure. Like I said earlier, no free earning platform can pay out such huge amount of money and still be working.
Secondly, the platform doesn’t have a support team. There is no way to reach support in case you are having issues or you want to ask questions. Lack of customer support is a very old trick being utilized by most scammers to keep users in the dark. In the case of MoMotube, they are fully aware no one is getting paid, that’s why they didn’t provide users with the option to reach them.
That way, they wouldn’t be disturbed when payment requests are not honoured. It’s very common and as such, you should steer clear of mercadotube or whatever it’s called.
Lastly, mercadotube.site is just an old wine in a new bottle. Whoever is behind the platform just changed the URL i.e website link, every other thing remained same. I tried creating an account with same email I used on the other sites that have been confirmed to be scam (jiotube.site, momowatch.site) and it returned an “email already exists” error.
Meaning, they didn’t even change anything. It’s still same platform with a different URL out to deceive gullible users.
Conclusion
We’ve come to the end of the review. Mercadotube.site is a spam website created solely for the purpose of generating traffic and ad revenue. From all indications, no one is getting paid in the long run and the earlier you save yourself the stress and time, the better for you
