Opera Mini has launched a new spin and win campaign dubbed, “Naira Millionaire” where users are rewarded hourly for spinning a wheel of fortune. It’s similar to the shake and win campaign but here, users are either given cash rewards, bet9ja coupons or points that can be redeemed to cash when it gets to a certain amount. The idea seems fascinating and alluring enough for anyone in search of a passive source of income but upon closer analysis, I found out it may not actually be worth the time.
I stumbled upon it while I was scrolling through the news publications on Opera Mini browser, a gold coin with a naira icon appeared on the side of my screen, I clicked on it to check out what opera has for us — you know it’s common for them to launch rewarding campaigns every now and then for users to complete a task and earn. Upon clicking it, I saw the Naira Millionaire boldly shown at the top and the writeup insinuating that spinning the wheel could fetch me a million naira.
Since then, I’ve been spinning per day and to be honest, I’ve not yet won any significant reward. It appears, points are more common than monetary rewards and in this article, we will be having a deeper look at the rewards users stand a chance of winning from the Opera Naira Millionaire, what to expect after you onboard and finally, some key frequently asked questions and answers. Without wasting more time, let’s dive right into the reason for writing this article.
About Opera Naira Millionaire
Naira Millionaire as they call it, is a campaign from OPERA that rewards users with points, MiniPay cash rewards, bet9ja vouchers on a daily basis for spinning a wheel. It’s basically, a spin and win program put in place by opera to reward users who engage actively on the Opera Mini browser and people who read news on a daily basis.
So if you are an active user of opera browser, you’re automatically qualified to spin this wheel from time to time and if you have a MiniPay account, all cash rewards will be credited to the logged in account and can be withdrawn to your local bank accounts.
List of Prizes to Be Won
There are quite a few things to be won on the naira millionaire spin and win promo and they are as follows;
- Points
- 200 Naira, 20k Bet9ja vouchers as well as bonus spins.
- MiniPay cash rewards ranging from $0.25 to $1.
- 1 Million Naira grand prize otherwise known as the jackpot.
From the caption of the campaign, they claim a lucky user will win the jackpot prize on a daily basis. So in their words, they are out to make Opera Mini users millionaires for free just for spinning the wheel. Sounds very interesting right? It sure does.
Getting Started
There is really no much process to follow in order to get started. Just download the Opera Mini browser and launch it, scroll down to the news section, you will see a hanging Gold coin with Naira icon, click on it and start spinning.
It takes just a few seconds to onboard and you can start spinning the wheel of fortune every 4 hours for a chance to win a million naira.
Additionally, you can get more spin chances when you read news. There are some news publications with hidden rewards according to the information on the campaign — therefore, your overall account date is what will determine the number of spins you get to enjoy and not to forget, coming back every 4 hours will grant you an additional spin.
Is Opera Naira Millionaire Worth It?
Well, in my opinion, the Opera Naira Millionaire is not worth the time and consistency required to earn spins. Like I said in the beginning part of this article, I got to know about it some days ago and since then, the highest I’ve won are just a few points.
Worse still, the points needed to redeem a cash reward directly to MiniPay is too high and far-fetched when I consider the amount I’m currently at.
What makes it even more unworthy of the time and effort needed to participate actively is, the fact that there is no way to earn or gain more spins. There is no referral campaign or any task to complete in order to unlock additional spins apart from randomly reading news, hoping to unlock the news with a special reward.
Additionally, the point to cash redemption feature seems to be temporal as stated on the app. They claim it’s a special feature that will be taken away on the 12th of June. Meaning in a short while the accumulated points won’t be redeemable.
To make things even more unfortunate, the point to cash conversion is extremely poor. As I was scrolling through to better understand how the whole naira millionaire spin works, I stumbled upon on the conversion rate for 100 points(which is the minimum) and guess how much it is?
It’s worth $0.003. so let’s say you’re finally able to earn and accumulate up to 100 points from consistently spinning, you can only convert it to $0.003 which is totally useless in the every sense of the word, reward.
Reason is, it’s not even up to the minimum withdrawal threshold on Minipay and considering the effort needed to earn up to 100 points, it’s safe to say being rewarded with points is as good as not being given a dime. It’s even worse than, “try again”.
Therefore, in my own analysis, the Opera Naira Millionaire is a sheer waste of time especially for anyone who has something important to do with his or her time. The rewards on the wheel are not even close to enticing or juicy and it’s as if the wheel has been programmed to only reward users with points.
Points that in the actual sense are also not-so-useful. So if you’re participating to win money, you may have to think again. The cons and stress sure outweigh whatever little benefit you may win along the line.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1 – Why can’t I find my reward after I log in?
If you lose your reward after logging in, it should be due to one of the following two reasons:
Multiple Accounts on One Device: Our systems have detected that you have more than one Opera Rewards account associated with your device. Using multiple accounts on a single device is a violation of our contest rules.
Recent Logout from Existing Account: You have recently logged out of your existing account. This action is also considered a violation of our contest rules.
Both of these actions can lead to the loss of rewards and may result in a ban from participating in future promotions.
Q2 – What does invalid Wallet Address mean?
If you’re receiving this message, it means our systems have detected fraudulent practices involving multiple accounts. Any further infractions from you will lead to a lifetime ban on Opera Rewards. We promote a fair chance for all users; engaging in the manner you have prevents others from accessing that equal and fair opportunity.
Q3 – I found a reward but it disappeared after I logged in to claim it. Why did this happen?
We strive to ensure a fair opportunity for all our news readers to find hidden rewards. As an existing Opera Rewards user, please ensure you remain logged in to retain any rewards you discover. Logging out of Opera Rewards in an attempt to reset the system and improve your chances at the expense of others is considered suspicious activity and is not supported.
Q4 – I have an account but I lost my progress!
It’s possible your account was logged out. No worries your progress is still there, simply use the login button on the homepage to sign into your account again.
Q5 – Why can’t I find my rewards?
Check if you’re logged in with the same google account or with a different account
Conclusion
The Naira Millionaire campaign is yet another less rewarding promo put in place to encourage users engage actively on Opera Mini browser with little to nothing to show for it. From my analysis, it’s not worth the time and stress. So if you have important things to do, then pay no attention to the promo. It’s more of a waste of time than a rewarding activity.
