Is Rubi Mining app legit?

Rubi is a crypto mining application that claims to have plans of conducting an airdrop and the tokens mined by users would be their various allocations. The application has gained significant publicity in recent times and I decided to check it out in order to confirm the authenticity and to know if it’ll be a good fit for my community. Unfortunately, I found out some suspicious things about the project and in this piece, we will be discussing some of them.

Crypto mining has been a part of the cryptocurrency world for years now and it has made quite a lot of people financially especially if one is lucky to mine a genuine project that cares about community. The unexpected success of Pi has led to more people gaining interest in the crypto mining world and as such, projects like Rubi has gained what I would call, an undeserving attention from the teeming audience in search of a breakthrough in the cryptocurrency world.

You may be wondering why I tagged it an undeserving attention; well, don’t worry, in this review, we will be breaking down all there is to know about Rubi Mining app as well as the numerous red flags I uncovered in the course of running my background checks. Without wasting more time, let’s dive right into the main topic.

About Rubi

Rubi is a crypto mining project that claims to be rewarding users with Rubi token when they mine every 24 hours. There is a countdown on the app, therefore each day you activate the miner, you’re required to restart this miner after the 24 hours countdown in order to continue earning more tokens.

Users are expected to take the mining very seriously because, any amount mined would be credited to users when it’s time for listing and token distribution. This is a common practice, so it is usually of utmost importance to accumulate a lot of tokens as that is what often counts when time for the airdrop comes.

Rubi works like every other mining app you may have participated in the past — there are a certain category of people who earn the most from the mining process and most users who have faith in the system are expected to fit themselves into the category. What category is this?

  • Users who are consistent in mining on a daily basis for a long while. The upside here is, the more you remember to reactivate the miner, the higher your chances of accumulating more tokens and also, you get to unlock some streak bonuses.
  • Users who refer many other newbies. Since Rubi is quite new, people who are able to refer a lot of users would end up with a lot of tokens. According to the information on the app, you get 10% extra reward for each user invited. The more referrals you have, the higher your mining rate. Higher mining rate means, more tokens in the long run.

If you are able to fit into the category, you will be regarded as a user who has much faith in the system and you will end up with more token.

Getting Started

To get started, simply download Rubi Mining app from Google Play store or Apple store. After downloading, proceed to create an account. You can use Gistrealz as referral code but I don’t think the referral code is compulsory. If it isn’t, you can skip.

Upon successful, sign up, you will be logged into the main dashboard where you can start mining. If you are interested in referring others, you can also go ahead and create your own unique referral code.

When you share it to others, you boost the mining rate by 10% from each person who creates an account with your referral code or downloads the app via your referral link.

Apart from the regular mining, you could also channel much energy into referring people for a chance to earn and accumulate more token.

Red Flags

While Rubi appears to be the next “BIG” thing after Pi, at least judging from the few writeups I’ve seen, the truth is I don’t think it will be as good as people project it to be. This is not me trying to be a party pooper, I’m just being realistic and speaking from the experience I have had with most of these crypto mining and airdrops. Below are some of the red flags I spotted while checking it out;

1. The Quality of the Mining App – Rubi Mining app looks cheap to me. While there is a high chance that it’s just my opinion, projects that often end up doing well channel a great deal of energy into designing a quality mobile app. The mobile app just feels too wack to be a serious project.

2. The Dollar Equivalent of the Token Showing Even Before Listing – this is a very common clickbait” move by some desperate administrators who are just after generating traffic or money from users either directly or indirectly. You claim a project hasn’t been listed yet and you don’t even have a white paper, then where is the dollar equivalent coming from?

Projects that often show the dollar equivalent of the mined tokens yet to be listed, often end up flopping so bad. Reason is, the dollar equivalent is often a ploy to keep users active while in the real sense, they have no plans of listing at such price.

On the app, 0.7 Rubi is equivalent to $3.88! The move alone goes a long way to show how much of a shady project it is/will be.

3. The So called Owner and Teammates are all AI generated images with no valid profile or portfolio to back up their claims of being a credible team. I checked out the Team behind the project, the names and images, firstly, the social profile links of the so called administrators don’t work.

Meaning they have no social media profile individually. The team behind a crypto project is very important because anybody can launch an app but it takes some level of experience to pull off a successful crypto project.

The most disappointing aspect is, the use of a AI generated images as photos of the CEO and teammates. That shows one thing, Rubi is just another app out to potentially waste people’s time and generate ad revenue from visits.

4. Unrealistic – let’s even believe that less than 1 of the token being mined is above $3, why then do they reward referrers with as much as 10% boost in mining rate for each referral? You can’t be giving out such rewards and still claim the token will have such high worth.

Rubi Mining rewards structure seems unrealistic or better put too good to be true and the reality is, if something feels too good to be true, there is a high chance it’s not true. The rewards are so much judging from the so called rate being displayed on the dashboard.

Rubi Mining legit or scam?

5. Rubi Mining is not NEW as they claim! I did some digging on X (Twitter) and found one of their probably abandoned account and lots of posts about Rubi Mining as far as back, 2022. What makes you think a project that has been in existence since 2022 will suddenly conduct TGE and listing before the end of Q1 of 2025 as some publications suggest.

The fact that they’ve been around for years without making a single headway means, the project is a scam that’s gaining much traction and attention due to Pi successful launch. It is most likely a waste of time.

Is Rubi Mining Worth It?

Personally, I don’t think Rubi Mining is worth the whole stress of reactivating miner every 24 hours and also, buying their token just to conduct KYC.

There are so many red flags and if you carefully analyze them, you would understand my point. They tick all the boxes of a potential waste of time and if you care about your time, you may have to steer clear.

Conclusion

Rubi is a crypto mining project that appears to be a waste of time. I’ve done my analysis and the results all point to the fact that, it’s just another app out to milk ad revenue from users engagement and activity on the poorly built mobile app; nothing more.

If after reading all that’ve been discussed in this piece, you still feel like giving it a shot, then feel free. Thanks.
