Stakeet review

Stakeet is an event prediction platform where users stand a chance of winning extra money when they predict the outcome of real life events. It’s very much similar to sports betting sites but the main difference is, you get to earn more money for successfully predicting the outcome of real-life events. You can predict the outcome of so many events ranging from politics, entertainment to even cryptocurrency.

The platform has been around for over a year now as there is even a publication about it on nairametrics and some other notable media outlets. However, not many are aware of how it works and even those who know how it works, don’t really know if it’s actually paying or not as you must participate to confirm whether it does pay or not. So to help you confirm that, we will be having a detailed look at what stakeet is all about, the earning methods as well as my take on its legitimacy based on personal analysis.

Therefore, without wasting more of your time, let’s get started!

About Stakeet

In more professional terms, stakeet.com is a social prediction platform where users can engage in event contracts across various fields such as sports, entertainment, economy, cryptocurrency, politics and so many other things. On the platform, you are not restricted to just sports prediction or any other field. Here you can have a say or predict the outcome of various events to stand a chance of earning more.

The predictions are not done for free, you have to make some deposits if you don’t have any registration bonus or there is no special promotional campaign ongoing at the time of participation. You have to fund your wallet and then stake money into your predictions and if they turn out to be reality by the end of the timeline, you earn double or even more than double of the amount used in staking.

As a user who is very much interested in participating, all you have to do after sign up is to proceed to deposit via the bold deposit button showing on the dashboard, enter an amount starting from 50 naira but it’s pointless to deposit so low because, the minimum amount needed for each stake is 500 naira. Therefore, you have to fund with something more tangible i.e. 1,000 Naira and above to enable you bet on a contract.

Earning Methods

As a social prediction platform, the main way of earning is betting on events but it doesn’t end there, so we will break down the ways of earning on Stakeet for people who are still contemplating whether or not to join.

Stakeet contracts

1. Staking/Joining Event Contracts

This is the main way to earn money on the platform. You earn by depositing money and using the fund to join contracts on the platform. The contracts being talked about here are the events, you simply click on Open Contracts to see events that are still awaiting or pending. Choose the outcome or predict the event outcome based on what you think and then, select an amount you want to stake.

In most cases, you’d end up with double the amount used in staking depending on the chosen outcome. If you choose an option that seems to be the most likely, your profit will be much less but if you choose something that is less likely but possible, your profit will be much higher. So you simply click on Open contracts, find the field that interests you and start predicting.

After predicting, simply wait for the outcome and if it goes according to your prediction, a congratulatory email be sent to you and the potential winning will be credited to your available balance on Stakeet and as such, can be withdrawn once you are ready.

2. Referral Program

Stakeet also has a referral program, though at the moment, the information isn’t so clear regarding the reward structure but at the moment, from what I noticed personally, referrers are given 50 naira for referring users to the site as long as the user completes KYC Verification.

So for each user introduced to the system, you get 50 naira once the user completes his or her KYC with either BVN or NIN. The verification process is instant with one’s bank verification number. You can get your referral link after sign up, by clicking on the Referral Dashboard, there you will see details of your referrals and a link to copy and share to others.

The confusing part however, is the fact that it’s stated on the site that, users will get 250 in credit per referral while in actual sense, it’s just 50 naira. I guess, you only get this full reward when your referral makes his or her first deposit. But upon verification of a referral or invitee, you get 50 naira and once you earn more than 100 Naira from the referrals, you can withdraw.

How to Get Started

Stakeet has a mobile application that is available on both Android and iOS, you can download the app after creating an account

Or you can proceed with the website version — I didn’t want to download the app, so I proceeded with the site since it’s also easier to navigate with no ads apart from the floating option to contact customer support.

At the time of writing this article, users are given 1,000 Naira bonus upon sign up to use in predicting on the site for a start. This is to not only give you an idea of how the platform works but to also give you a chance to start earning on the go.

Like I previously said, you have to click on Open Contracts, find events with a closer end date so you don’t wait till next year to get dividends for your prediction. Currently, BBNaija is still trendy and most of the contracts have a closer end date. So you can just predict the winner of the show or something related to the show.

Just find any contract that is interesting to you and make a prediction with the bonus given to you and wait for the outcome. If it goes in your favour, you may receive double of the amount and can go ahead and withdraw.

How to Complete KYC Verification on Stakeet

Stakeet KYC Verification

Stakeet KYC Verification involves either your BVN or NIN i.e. the number on your national ID card slip. Click on Withdraw and if you haven’t done KYC Verification, you will be immediately prompted to do it in order to access the withdrawal feature.

Select the method you want to go for and copy either your BVN or NIN and submit in the provided column. It will be instantly verified if correct and you will be able to make withdrawals from the site.

Stakeet Deposit & Withdrawal Process

On the dashboard, there are two big buttons by the right and left. The Deposit and Withdraw option, click on Deposit, enter the amount you want to fund your wallet with and proceed to make the necessary payment on the checkout page.

If you are withdrawing, click on Withdraw, set a withdrawal pin(4 digits), enter amount, add bank account details and submit for payment. Processing time varies, sometimes it takes less than 10 minutes while in some other cases it takes an hour or more, just depends on when you made the request and how lucky you are.

I received the two withdrawals I’ve made so far in less than 10 minutes — which isn’t too bad though can’t be regarded or classified as instant.

Is Stakeet.com Legit Or Scam?

Does stakeet.com pay?

Stakeet is LEGIT and it pays users. I actually like how the platform works and how it’s organised. At first, I felt it wasn’t legit given the lack of payment proofs on social media but upon closer look and after testing it myself, I discovered it’s actually a very nice platform.

This is not in any way a promotional content, I am just being honest. There are certain very good things about the platform such as the minimum withdrawal amount, the swiftness of payment and the fact that they have a very active customer support that could be reached in real-time via the live chat feature on the app/site.

Regardless of the upsides though, it’s still important to bear in mind that it is possible to incur financial losses on platforms like Stakeet. Due to the fact that, you have to deposit your own money and predict for which, things may not go as you predicted and when such happens, you lose money.

So it is pertinent to only participate if you don’t mind losing the money and also take note that, Stakeet is only open to persons who are 18 and above. You must be an adult to participate as it’s not really different from conventional sports prediction sites.

ProsPros

In summary, here are some of the pros or upsides of participating or joining Stakeet;

  • Duly registered in Nigeria
  • Swift payment processing
  • Active customer support & Live chat option
  • Registration bonus to enable users understand & earn on the platform for free.
  • Low minimum withdrawal pegged at 100 naira but you need to earn more than that, to cover charges.

Cons Cons

On the flip side, I would say the main downside of Stakeet is the inevitable possiblity of losing money if care isn’t taken.

Conclusion

Stakeet is paying and real. It’s been around for a while though they don’t really have a vibrant social media presence. I would say, if you feel you’re good at predicting outcome of events, this platform will certainly be of interest to you.
